Harness the power of running to raise money for Cure Usher.
You can help us find a cure for Usher Syndrome by running in one of our charity events. Funding is vital because new treatments, like gene therapy and stem cell technology, show great promise for people with Usher Syndrome at any stage, but getting enough money to make these treatments a reality remains a big hurdle.
For 2027, we will secure free places in several running events, including the Great North Run, and all we ask is that you commit to raising at least £350 in sponsorship.
By joining the Cure Usher running team, you’ll directly support the crucial research needed to bring hope to those affected by Usher Syndrome.

The AJ Bell Great South Run is probably the world’s favourite 10 mile running event, with inspiring history, salty air and glorious sea views guaranteed. Portsmouth’s supporters will keep your spirits and motivation up the whole way round, with blaring music, cheers, high fives, fist bumps all part of the incredible Great South Run experience.
